mom, Cheryle. Emily Kate Baby was inspired by Katie's daughter Emily and
Christie's daughter Kate. Being moms, we know what a difference a soft,
warm blanket can make for baby and parents.

Emily Kate Baby, LLC was the result of little Emily being diagnosed with a very
rare and aggressive brain tumor (ATRT) at fifteen months old. During her
year-long battle with brain cancer, the comfort offered by the soft and
beautiful blankets made by Grandma was beyond words. With prodding from
hospital kids and their moms, nurses and friends, Emily Kate Baby was created
with a dream of sharing this comfort and joy with babies and parents
everywhere.
Emily lost her courageous battle in March 2009 but her beauty, courage, and strength
will continue to be celebrated. In the spirit of continued support for ill
children and in particular those suffering from the devastating effects of
cancer, Emily Kate Baby, LLC is donating 5% of each and every sale to pediatric
brain tumor research and family support programs. In addition to monetary
contributions, we are donating our signature blankets to children battling this
disease.
